Jenny has worked in both primary and secondary school sectors for many years. During her time as a Resource Teacher of Learning & Behaviour she was extremely concerned by the number of referrals for children presenting with elevated levels of anxiety. This led Jenny to explore what evidenced based intervention and prevention programmes were available to support and build children’s emotional resilience and wellbeing.

In April 2012 Jenny was invited by Paula to Pathways Health & Resource Centre, Brisbane to undertake intensive training in the FRIENDS programmes. Since that training Jenny has facilitated the programmes with children in a number of schools. She has also facilitated programmes in adult resiliency.

In January 2013 Jenny became a licensed partner with Pathways Health & Resource Centre. Jenny Bell Oranga Ltd prides itself on delivering quality training to individuals and organisations to become facilitators of the FRIENDS programmes. Jenny believes that the way to move forward is to focus on prevention and resilience building, providing children, parents, teachers and others with the necessary coping skills to make each community stronger in the face of adversity.

Jenny’s passion is about making a positive difference in people’s lives. Her other passions are her family, garden, painting and her four dogs.
